Review on πŸ“± JPUNG iPad 5 5th Generation Screen Replacement Kit A1822 A1823 9.7" 2017 - Touch Digitizer, Home Button, Full Repair Kit (Video Guide) by Harry Tulsa

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Not my first rodeo.

My daughter got her iPad when she was 2 years old. This is the third time I have replaced her screen and she will be 5 years old in a few months. I like this iPad model because the LCD isn't built into glass, which makes it 15 times cheaper to repair. The first repair took about 45 minutes so I was able to do it thoroughly so I got it right. The second fix is about the same. Took me about 35 minutes this time, but there were a few complications like dust and I had to remove the manufacturer's home button and reinstall it on a new screen. If you do this repair like this, it will take no more than 25 minutes. BUT I take extra time to disassemble the home buttons. ONLY the manufacturer's button that matches your model number (unless otherwise superseded by Apple) will work with Fingerprint ID. ALL OFF-PARTY KEYS DISABLE this fingerprint feature on iPad. So this is an important step that is tedious and requires patience and extra glue. I bought a similar screen. glass pattern? Maybe tempered? It was weird - this screen doesn't have that and it's crystal clear. Delivery was PRIME - 2 days Definitely highly recommended.
