Review on πŸ›΅ High-Performance GOOFIT PD24J Carburetor for GY6 150cc ATV Scooter with 157QMJ Engine by Frank Harwood

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Doesn't quite fit as advertised.

I bought this carburetor mainly because it was cheaper than buying all the parts to restore to original. However, despite the extremely high ratings, my expectations were not that high. I also chose this one because the description says it fits my daughter Buddy 125. This is where the three-star rating comes into play. The carburetor itself is too long front to back, too high and the throttle cable. The bracket/installation is too far apart and the throttle cable screw is too big for the bracket. I turned the shackle over and fine tuned it with a big hammer until I had the correct clearance, drilled out the shackle and viola, the throttle cable connected. Cut the front manifold and ream it down to 3/8" and use a utility knife and propane torch to manipulate the air intake manifold and press it into place. Now it sits at an angle, but it's sealed, and I had to make a longer pipe to run between the manifolds, remove the fuel filter and replace the fuel line.Last time I had to make a spacer for the access cover in the storage compartment under the seat niche to clean the top of the carburetor. When the seat assembly is installed I would like to know what that stylish double vacuum line carburetor foil is for I guess this is essential for a car other than our buddy 125. On the positive side the scooter really runs once fitted, if it shakes on mine I'll buy another one.yes i think it only deserves three stars for the fit but is it actually a working coal hydrate for less than $30? As long as you have a little DIY skill, you can't go wrong with this.
