Fantastic product for stitching onto fabric for cross stitch

I use this "thread" to stitch onto fabric for needlework. In particular, I use it for cross stitch. When meshing on fabric it helps me keep my place on the fabric which means fewer frog or erase errors. I used to use fine lines, but when I saw someone using this product I thought I'd give it a try. I'm glad I did as it's a lot easier to work with. It's easier for me to stop and start embroidering, and it's smoother when I hold it in my hand (because I'm embroidering in my hand, not on an embroidery hoop or frame). I also love how portable this thread is. It fits well in my project bags and I love that the "top" moves up and down on each side to release and then lock the end of the thread. Although it's called thread, it's actually a continuous piece of nylon and your needle won't pierce it. I have found this to happen with regular yarn and is very difficult to remove. I bought several colors to use the one that looks best on the specific fabric I'm using for projects. Gold worked well on light blue/grey and blue worked well on ivory/cream coffee. I will try to include photos to show it in use. I should also mention that I use 8 stitches up and 2 stitches down for the grid pattern.

Pros
  • Ideal for embroidery
Cons
  • Only available in black
