I bought these because my girlfriend likes to drink half a coke and throw the other half away. Also, I'm paranoid about a bee flying in my beer when I'm hanging out by the pool. They solve both of these problems. It should be noted that these lids have two tiny holes at the top. They are not visible unless the silicone is stretched. The holes allow the fizz to seep through the top so the pressure of the soda/beer doesn't rip the lid off. That means your soda will go bad over time anyway. They definitely stay fizzy longer than just left outdoors. The lid has a ring around the rim so you can invert the jar without spilling it. A small amount seeps through the aforementioned air holes but otherwise holds tight. Either way, they are amazing for what they do and a fair price for what they do. Easy to clean. I bought 6 packs in purple but I may buy them again in a multicolor pack. This would allow us to identify the drinks at the party. Don't drink out of the orange cap, Greg, it's mine. your green.
