They are durable. The outsole is particularly strong and durable. I haven't owned a British Knights bear since their MTV commercial in the 1980's. Very comfortable for people with wider feet than usual. Unlike the Chucks, the laces are the perfect size, meaning they won't come loose and try to snag the escalator as you go down the Wheaton Subway stairs. I love the color but would definitely like a different option when reordering.
