Has an aluminum body and clip with plastic faceplates and end caps. Gives it a solid premium look instead of cheap plastic parts. The spacing of the plugs turned out to be more useful than I initially expected. The green LEDs in the USB ports look fine, but the USB power converter is cheap. Therefore, when something is connected that doesn't draw a large load, a very high-pitched hum can be heard from the USB ports. Like when they turned on old TVs and wailed until they got warm. It's not loud, but annoying. but for €35 you really can't complain. ---Update---After about a month, the high-pitched hum is louder and vibrates a bit more than mine. It's now loud enough to drown out background noise like conversations and light music/podcasts. As a result, I return the extension.
