This is a rather dark beige chiffon scarf/scarf. I imagine champagne to be a bit more metallic. Remember that it is transparent and very light. In some cases it is enough, but it is not a pale gold color. Also, it has no shine. This is not a criticism as I am going to love wearing it to my girlfriend's son's wedding and it will look great with my champagne dress. If your definition of champagne matches mine, then it's not quite right, although it will fit.
