I opened the box and cleaned two of them and they broke immediately. I didn't buy any of the larger gauges but I assumed that since they are plastic they would be a little strong. I've been gentle with them, so I'm worried that others might break them after wearing them if they get tangled in their hair. I cleaned the purple and on the napkin it started to fade. I used rubbing alcohol but that's what you should use to clean so I don't know how long they will last. 14. Still skinny, but not so skinny anymore. Nice but cheap but you get what you pay for.
