Purchased after my physical therapist used it during a session. Works better than a foam roller or lacrosse ball for large, thick leg muscles. The extra cost compared to the cheaper models is worth it because of the flexible central core that allows you to really get into the muscles. A difference I wasn't aware of until my physiotherapist pointed it out. That little 1 inch flex/flex really allows you to follow the curve of your muscles to get all those tight, hidden knots. Don't be fooled by the imitations, I've used both and this one is way better. I use it several times a day. I leave my bed because I have leg cramps at night and it helps to soothe my muscles. I'm considering getting another one for the office as I walk a lot for work and it would be great to take a few minutes during the day to release tension. I've been using it for about two weeks and have noticed a huge difference in my pain levels. Also less leg cramps at night, so a lifesaver.
