This little thing is great, but it definitely depends on your hair. I have very thick, thick, curly hair that I've only cut very short. I got this hoping it would help with my shorter hair. Not really, but it helps. But for longer it works quite well. I don't think this is a standalone product for my hair type unless I'm looking for perfection. But I could see that it's perfect for a second day when you want a good touch-up, or even after using a flat iron to get those parts that aren't quite corporate the first time. However, if you have thin hair or just wavy hair, this seems to be all you need. The brush itself is well made, I accidentally touched my cheek with it but it didn't sting (the sides of the bristles get hotter to the touch). My 7 year old daughter has straight hair and I think this is perfect when she needs trendy hair because it is so easy to use. (with supervision)
