This is my 2nd set of these bulbs. The first set started to fash on and off after being on for 5 minutes and longer. They were an older series and I am hoping these Last longer. Installations depends on location in the 4Runner. As for brightness, this set is brighter than the first set. Last set last 2 years and if it wasn't for leaving my hatch open for long periods of time I would not have replace the bulbs. We'll have to up date how long this set hold up. Overall I would recommend these bulbs.
