We bought a Bose ST20 Series II internet radio a few years ago and we love it. This year I decided to order one as a birthday present for my sister-in-law who loves our internet radio versus her who uses an iPad to listen to her favorite internet radio stations. Before purchasing we did a web review search and read consumer reports, the only one that has generally proved consistently good was Bose. Don't get me wrong other brands are good but they were battery powered and portable, streamed well but needed extra speakers for decent sound etc. Nothing that would make up for their lower price point compared to the functionality we knew they had , wanted to . It's worth paying a little more to get what you want right away. :) Excellent sound quality and the operating system is easy to use with the remote control, also Bose offers SoundTouch software to download to your PC or Mac, which allows you to control the unit over a LAN for more functionality. Sure, it's not going to fill a concert hall with loud music, but that's not what it's designed for - it'll fill their home office and bedrooms with divine-sounding sound, which is why we bought 20 rather than going over 30. The only complaint I was related to the Revain camp, not the product. The packer shipped an apparently damaged Bose box in an intact Revain shipping box, but the packaging issue was quickly resolved by contacting Revain. However, something that should never have happened. It's a good thing I didn't order her delivery directly as a gift.
