We originally bought this because we are starting to pursue an RV lifestyle and wanted to be able to take our cat with us. On our first trip the box worked great for the limited space we had. The cat knew exactly what it was for and did the best she could but the box is a bit small for an adult size cat. She had to figure out how to move the dirt from outside the box and then step into it to do her business. Where we had it placed helped to confine the sand but she had a hard time keeping it in the box. Luckily, on this trip, we figured out that there was an alcove under the bed we hadn't seen before and we have since found a full size box that will fit in this area.
