Update: The application has been updated and is much better. Bringing light into rooms is now easy. Adding them to a room doesn't automatically put them in a group, you have to do it yourself, but adding lights to a group is easy, and then you can turn them all on and off and set scenes as a group. For example I have all the lights in my house in 1 group, then I have 4 lights in the basement in one group. I then split these 4 lights into 2 more groups so I could have oscillating colors in my basement if I wanted. All in all much happier. I like the idea of a group, but I still feel like the room management could use a little love. In addition, it has fewer color options than shades of light. Overall, I like the app better and I like the price better. I'll probably put the whole house in once I change the dimmers. Original Rating: I love lightbulbs and the colors they can represent. The price is great and they definitely have their value as lightbulbs. On the downside, it feels like the app is missing some key features. Because the application controls everything that is a problem. If you want all the colors and scenes in your room to match, or just want to be able to swap out, these bulbs aren't for you. If you don't mind the human inaccuracies varying a bit and getting bored of controlling each bulb individually and the scenes being slightly time-shifted, then go for it. The rooms are clearly lacking in amenities. It lets you sort the lights, but nothing else. They lack color separation, scene separation, everything on or even off. Even the brightness has to be done for each individual bulb. An open space with 12 bulbs between all the bulbs can be very annoying. There is no light control. If you go into the lightbulb management you can select all your lightbulbs for this room or for the house and. delete them That's all. There are other things you could add, but at least room sorting should be there. The stage management is absolutely terrible. Initially, you can only save 8 scenes. I can accept it because borders don't matter. Your scene options: 1 color, up to 8 flashing colors, or up to 8 colors with slow transitions. Not bad. Here's the problem, you can't share scenes even if lightbulbs are in the same room. For example, I set up a lightbulb to make the Halloween scene alternate between multiple colors, but mostly orange. Happy with the scene, I tried to use it for the room. Numbers don't work that way. OK. I then went to one of the other lightbulbs in the room to use the same scene, time would have expired but never mind. It turns out that each lightbulb has its own scenes that I have to repeat every time. I can never make it exactly the same for every bulb, so there will be slight differences anyway.
