I use multiple taillights for my 10 mile morning commute in the dark. Cars approaching from behind should also see me with headlights shining into the windshield from oncoming traffic. The price refers to these headlights. They are bright and the flash is clearly visible from over 50 meters (not further verified). Cheaply made but sold cheaply, a four pack is a steal. The same light is sold by others at a much higher price. I wish they were rechargeable. But the batteries hold up well. 1 of 8 lamps bought was defective, I threw them away. I have a Cygolite 100 Lumens ($30) but I prefer it. Cygolite is painfully bright and will annoy those who follow you. Note that these lights are only bright at a narrow viewing angle of about 20 degrees either side. They are faint when viewed from wider viewing angles.
