Too expensive for what you get

It's a good idea to make a cold drink, but it's a lot smaller than I expected and way overpriced for what you get. $25 for a plain jar, plastic lid, wooden spoon, and small cotton bag tied with a rubber band isn't a good deal. At least the lid is universal for glasses with a wide neck and practical because it has a good spout. I'm making my first batch of cold drink today and used a much larger can because what's the point of going to all that trouble for 2 cups? I placed the coffee in a muslin bag, tied the rubber band as instructed, and placed it in a glass of water. Unfortunately the pouch mostly floats unless you have the perfect amount of water to go straight to the top I think. I just weighed mine with a small cookie cutter because I've already measured the amount of coffee and water that didn't fill the glass. I didn't want to touch the pouch with my hands to squeeze the air out because I don't want moldy coffee. A wooden spoon was included but I use at least 3/4 cup of ground coffee so it's useless to me. To be honest I could and probably should have just made myself a muslin tote because that's really all I needed as I was trying to avoid the gauze mess. I suppose you could find a lid with a spout. I've included a picture of the glass next to the half and half 1/2 gallon and my coffee mug to give you an idea of the size. *Addition after a few weeks: Purchased caps "drink, pour, store" in a pack of 2. With a bag that you can easily buy or make yourself and a mason jar, that's all you need.
