The brass part of the product is definitely strong. I had a similar one on a trailer and loved how easy it was to hold the hose and twist the connector to connect the two. I used small screws with locknuts on the back to secure it. IMHO, with a hose dangling from it, weight and torque are needed more than bolts. It would be nice if they included a template to better position the screw holes after drilling the main hole.
