Speakers buzz when connected to Aux and disconnect every 2 seconds when connected via Bluetooth

I bought these for my wife's computer. On the first day I noticed that the speakers hum a bit when connected via cable; So I tried a Bluetooth connection (still USB powered) and it didn't buzz at first and sounded great, but I only tried that for 1-2 minutes. My wife told me today that the speakers keep cutting out and she was right. They were USB powered, but the speakers kept cutting out and making pops and pops. Can I return them if I threw away the box?
