Absolutely reliable. I put my laptop on it when I need more workspace and I feel completely safe typing on it. I used it to hold a large projector, used it to hold books, various heights and angles. It reaches the stated maximum height, you can adjust the width of the legs if you need to install the stand in a limited space and/or reach the maximum height. Has a safety pin to keep the table section from suddenly falling off, and there are four handles to secure the top so even if the pair somehow magically separate, they won't budge or suddenly tip over. i love this shop I still use it every day.
