Baby Eggshell Geodes
Used by Boy Scouts to create Eggshell Geodes. Lesson learned, after a few days very small crystals appeared, similar to sugar, which didn't impress. To get the best result for the guys, I poured out the liquid the eggs were sitting in, heated the remaining water/alum I hadn't gotten rid of yet, sugar crystals settled to the bottom of the pan, which melted again. I poured the heated liquid into containers and after a couple of days the bowls were covered with large crystals. The boys were so excited when they got their eggs out and saw how big the crystals were.
