These are high quality sockets and have an extremely important strain relief around the wires, in the threaded portion that screws onto the lamp nipple. I tried another brand from Creative Hobbies and the cable insulation burned off. Not good. These are beautiful, durable porcelain sockets that I'm comfortable wearing in my lamp.
