Left color on my laptop and my hand

I received my laptop case for my new MacBook today. I was excited to open it up and slip my laptop inside. When I pulled my laptop out, it left a purple stain on my MacBook and my hands. I also noticed that the inner label was tinted slightly reddish. I'm wondering if it's really new or got wet in transit? Not satisfied with current product.
