Size wise I ordered a medium size thinking it would fit my almost 11 year old skinny. Instead they fit my 8 year old. I used the wrong size chart in the listing. To measure my 11 year old's waist I had to order a large one. This is my fault so I'm not deducting stars for the wrong size. Instead, I'm deducting stars for the quality of the material. I've bought a couple of Calvin Klein boys boxers from Costco in the past, so I expected them to be of the same quality. Unfortunately, the fabric on it is rougher, thinner, and generally not as soft as the fabric used on those purchased from Costco. Even after several washes, they are still not quite as soft. Maybe they will soften over time but so far they are not of the same quality as the ones I've bought before.
