improved them a lot), and there weren't any 'updated' Logitech mice available when I she needed. At first this mouse felt a little small compared to Logitech, but after just a few hours of use I got used to it and found it very comfortable. My only issue with this was that the ball was sooooo much less fluid than the Logitech one. For most tasks, this doesn't matter much. But one of the programs I actively use in my work requires extremely discrete, specific cursor placement. The slightly rough ball run of this mouse was annoying. But thanks to the advice of another reviewer, I took the ball out of my old Logitech and replaced the ball on that mouse with this one: voila, now it works GREAT. As smooth as Logitech and even more comfortable. I'm not sure why the Logitech ball performs better, but my theory is that it has a slightly smaller girth—it seemed to slide in easier than the Elecom ball—that's probably why it rolls so much better. Just a guess. Definitely money well spent - this is a great mouse and most people will be fine without using any other ball.
