I bought the dehumidifier after reading positive reviews but also trusting General Electric's reputation. I was wrong. Whoever designed this model probably failed a logic course while doing their main coursework. The container that collects moisture fills up quickly in my downstairs bedroom, and instead of stopping when there's no room for water, it keeps running. That means I have to either spot the dehumidifier or check and empty it every two to three hours before the water spills onto the carpet and floor. I kept running into a huge puddle of water and a wet woolen rug until I realized that this humidifier doesn't stop working when the tank is full. Who came up with this? I have three other dehumidifiers - they all stop once the bin is filled with water.
