My Otterbox bag was starting to fall apart and while it served me well I wanted something more comfortable. The Otterbox case was ok, but too slippery and often slipped out of my hand, especially when holding it over me at night. So far, this current case has been an improvement in this area. The edges are a bit sharper and the texture is rougher overall, which I like, although some won't like it. I love the little kickstand feature and find it useful when trying to do something that requires both hands and still needs a good view of the screen. Haven't tested the strength of the case yet, but so far so good. The only real downside I noticed compared to the Otterbox case is that the fingerprint reader is a bit more difficult to set up correctly, but it still works.
