I bought this device because my Samsung monitor stand is not height-adjustable. The mount doesn't quite fit the monitor because it has four extra holes that take up space where my monitor starts to bend at the back. I managed to get it working, but then I realized that it takes superhuman strength to lock this mount at an angle and get it to hold the monitor. That is, with an allen wrench on one side and a wrench holding the bolt on the other. Forget about tilting your monitor for someone else to see, or even just adjusting it. This will require you to get your tools out again and build something to hold the monitor while you loosen the screw as again you need two hands to loosen the screw. Decent monitor stands adjust in a snap with a simple tilt. It worries me a little that someone might not understand what I screwed up and try to adjust the monitor by pushing or pulling it. Doing so may damage the stand screws on the back of the monitor or damage the monitor by bending. There is also no xy rotation. So if the rig isn't perfectly level, you need to learn to read online. All of this could be done or just buy a decent stand. It was cheap enough so I'll keep using it until something better comes along.
