Much more than I expected That's why I returned them. I used 14 gauge wire and wanted the two wires to be joined together. I liked the very clean look and they were very large. I would guess they were somewhere around the diameter of my thumb, at least my index finger. It was too big for me and I didn't like the look of it, so I sent it back. In terms of fit and finish they look good, if you don't mind the size I would recommend them as I think they would work great except they were too big for my application.
