I assembled this in 10 minutes. There are no instructions other than a sheet of paper with an easy-to-understand diagram. There are 4 screws and an Allen key. This is a low product. So if your cat lives in a tree, she might not like it. My cat lives in the bushes and prefers to be on or near the ground. it's strong My cat is 10 pounds and when she jumped into the hammock the product did not rock or tip over. My cat fits comfortably in the hammock. This is much better than the standard scratching post. It has "palm leaves" and jingling coconut balls. The hammock is very plush and seems to last quite a while. My cat is very fond of scratching, so she immediately started clawing at the bars. Worth the money, cute and durable.
