I bought this riveter because I wanted a tool that would work down to 1/4 inch. Many smaller hand riveting tools work no more than 3/16 inch. I tested the largest rivet in the tool to see how well it could handle such a large rivet and how much force I had to put on the handles. Surprisingly, it worked very well and the mechanical advantage is very good, keeping the grip's grip strength at a reasonable level. I love that they give you a choice of studs. I can highly recommend this remedy.
