928v3 is the latest version of v2, the original 928 and the old discontinued 927. Obviously I've been wearing them for so long. In the past the 900 was supposed to be a medical shoe from New Balance and they fitted the bill perfectly. Until recently. I wear braces and need a shoe that is strong, durable, well made and provides good support. This has been the case with these shoes for a long time. Unfortunately, with each new iteration, New Balance is making them lighter, even thinner, and probably cheaper (which was probably their main goal). In v3 it feels like wearing squeaky light slippers which might be ok for regular users but not for me. In fact, the creaking is a sign that cheap materials are being used. Even version 2, while not very good, had better support than version 3. The original 927s and 928s were absolutely amazing shoes and it's a shame these replacements are being made even more unreliable. Hopefully someone at New Balance will read this and look into it. I don't want to start looking for a replacement brand.
