The idea for this cupboard is great, maybe even 5 stars. So many inexpensive cabinets are boring and mostly square. Not this one. He has nice legs and a nice relief on the door. But it has to be more than good design. It has to be functional and safe. I wasn't expecting it to be wood for the price we paid but I was expecting a better quality pressed board. The sidewalls look and feel like thick cardboard. One of the corners broke off when the box was opened. It was dark brown under white paint and looked like cardboard. Also, it had and still has (a week later) a terrible smell oozing from the closet. Every time I spend time in my daughter's room, my head starts to hurt. I shut myself off to think about what chemicals he's throwing in the air. I even aired her room for two days with the window open. I will most likely take it out of my daughter's room and into the garage or in the trash. I believe this item is unsafe in the home.
