Review on High-Speed Transcend TS-RDF5K USB 3.1 Card Reader for SDHC/SDXC/microSDHC/SDXC Cards - Black by Nick Shirodkar

I've been using an old SanDisk MobileMate+ for years with no problems, but it took too long with these big and large SD and MicroSD cards. Most of these adapters are interchangeable - there are actually about 5 other "brands" that look identical to Transcend, but it was on sale, available with Prime shipping, and, well, sold out. It supports SD and microSD without an adapter. Since this was the "winning" standard in the memory card wars, that's fine. I wish they would form a lid holder on the other side than the connector, like the old SanDisk, so I wouldn't lose the lid; but it was cheap. The plastic is glossy black, the lid is tight. It gets very hot when in use and I'm afraid the plastic might warp as it's very thin.
