I have a 6 year old boy and a 7 year old daughter. They are almost the same size and weight. She's an inch taller and half a size bigger. We usually get a lot of clothes and shoes that both can wear. They were meant for my son but there is a small pattern on the foot pad and he really doesn't like the feel of the pattern and doesn't want to wear them at all. My daughter loves the pattern and she feels it keeps her feet in place. There is a good protective sock so you can walk. Both had no problem adjusting them or taking them off and on with the clips. I like that they are good light shoes and that they can get wet. They are suitable for visiting the pool (or getting wet in the stream). We plan to use them for water slides or water parks and they are compact enough to fit in a backpack.
