The cable needs to be longer and one does not work properly

The cable is too short, the battery can only be charged on the table top. Also be very careful as my battery is quite heavy and I don't want it hanging by the cord in the outlet. Also, one of my chargers doesn't work properly right away, I have to get myself in the right position to work. Most likely a bad connection inside with a cable or connector.
