I switched from the Zumo 665 to this device. This 595LM is vastly superior to the 665 in many ways. First and foremost, the screen. The 595LM's screen is much brighter and also sharper than the 665's screen. The 595LM's screen is bright enough that I could easily read it through a dark motorcycle helmet visor at high speeds in bright Southern California sunlight. This really makes the 595LM a pleasure to use. In comparison, the 665's screen is difficult to see in bright sunlight. Another really nice feature of the 595LM is the screen layout. When you approach an intersection, you will be shown which intersection you are approaching. This may seem trivial, but it is extremely useful in practice, as road signs here in California are often either absent or randomly placed. For me, this is the most useful full screen feature. Music streaming and bluetooth function. This is where the 595 really shines. I can connect my Sena 20S Bluetooth headset and iPhone X directly to Zumo. This allows me to control all the music on my iPhone (a massive amount) with Zumo and also control the iPhone from the Zumo screen. 665 will not reliably do this. Model 595 will and will be. This is a very big improvement and many 665 users have driven themselves insane trying to get this to work without success. This means Zumo gives riders the option to listen to iTunes music, listen to Spotify or Pandora, or listen to MP3s on the Zumo itself. The Zumo really acts as the control center for all rider electronics. Garmin provides a free app that, when opened on your iPhone, sends traffic and weather data to Zumo while you're driving. This is a very nice feature. The 595LM is built very solidly and the screen is significantly larger than the 665. The device appears to have a better fit and finish than the 665 and they have a USB port which is now easily accessible unlike the 665 where it is was completely inaccessible while the device was in use. Other nice features - you can set the 595LM to ask you when you stop if you want to reset the petrol tank. That makes it very easy. The Bluetooth implementation is excellent - I had no trouble pairing and maintaining pairing with the Sena 20S headset. I will update this review as I continue to use the Zumo 595LM and explore its capabilities. Five stars so far. RDB.
