Works perfectly! Brighter screen, easier to use with gloves than my phone.

I really went for it and so far I'm glad I did. Yes, the 595LM is a bit pricey. I have bought a cheaper GPS from another brand in the past and it is true that "you get what you pay for". This hardware/touchscreen feels pretty sturdy. Think about what features you really need, and you'll probably be happy with your decision. I felt this device offered the most. I've also borrowed various GPS units in the past and they all have crashes and can freeze. This 595LM is not always perfect either. But…

very disappointed with GPS, finders and accessories

This should replace the Zumo 660. I also have a BMW with NavV and I expected this to be an upgrade. Finally sent it back. It has a built-in driver alert that lets you turn off just the audio part. The screen would always switch to full screen, indicating there was a turning ahead or animals might be crossing. When media isn't playing the warning stays on the top bar, but this makes me uneasy because I had to fiddle around so much to clear the screen. Garmin said they will be asking this…

Good bright screen and great screen layout.

I switched from the Zumo 665 to this device. This 595LM is vastly superior to the 665 for many reasons. First and foremost, the screen. The 595LM's screen is much brighter and also sharper than the 665's screen. The 595LM's screen is bright enough that I could easily read it through a dark motorcycle helmet visor at high speeds in bright Southern California sunlight. This really makes the 595LM a pleasure to use. In comparison, the 665's screen is difficult to see in bright sunlight. Another…

All in one tool for GPS, finder and accessories

Excellent product. many functions, it takes some time to learn everything. The seller shipped the product and it arrived on time. Well packaged and including MC mount with integrated wiring harness, necessary parts to mount on MC + car mount and power cord with cigarette. light adapter. I would describe the wiring harness as an umbilical cord. The MC mount's 3-4 foot rubber cover contains all the wires coming out of the 'plastic'. Splitter separately: two wires to your chosen power source. I…

Pros
  • One year trial period
Cons
  • Some flaws

I currently own a Garmin Zumo 550, Garmin Zumo 660/BMW Navigator IV and Garmin Nuvi and have used them all while traveling around the world. I am a very experienced GPS and Navigation user and I can confirm that there are many bugs in this GPS that need to be fixed. Its current performance is unacceptable to the point where it can no longer be used for serious long-distance motorcycle or vehicular traffic. Since this device costs between $800 and $900, it should at least work for navigation…
