Review on πŸ—ΊοΈ Exploring the Road: Garmin Zumo 595LM GPS Navigation System by Jessie Drury

Works perfectly! Brighter screen, easier to use with gloves than my phone.

I really went for it and so far I'm glad I did. Yes, the 595LM is a bit pricey. I have bought a cheaper GPS from another brand in the past and it is true that "you get what you pay for". This hardware/touchscreen feels pretty sturdy. Think about what features you really need, and you'll probably be happy with your decision. I felt this device offered the most. I've also borrowed various GPS units in the past and they all have crashes and can freeze. This 595LM is not always perfect either. But it's always better than using my phone. The graphics on this device are basic, but since I just want to get information quickly and easily, I don't get distracted. My "plan B” is to carry a standard paper map in my suitcase along with the spare headlight bulb. This Zumo is stored on a stand, so the shorter battery life doesn't bother me. I also use the 'can-bus helper' to have more control over Garmin power with my bike's ignition/key. One trick I found out from a review I read before buying: I don't use the trip tracking feature to save memory for loading maps. I hope my review or opinion helps.
