Socket smaller than specified Image 1.57W other images are correct. Most of the header's eight openings were approximately 1.725 x 1.30–1.39 wide, with the width being nowhere near 1.57 wide. They turned out to be a perfect match for my stock Lt1 engine - believe me others say you need to adjust the tie rod to fit under the hood. So for a standard 1.30 x 1.30 head, they are quite doable. But if you've ported the head to something wider than the original, for example (like 1.50 watts, because you think they'll fit, because the advert says 1.57 watts, they won't fit. You must also have some bad welds drum.
