I like that this is a good starting point for a custom liquid cooling circuit. It should be clarified that this is an aluminum installation. Also, it doesn't fit in the Ryzen Threadripper TR4 socket, a fact I didn't realize until I tried to install it (that part was just a lack of research on my part, so my fault). Both the heat sink and the water block are made of aluminum and are therefore not compatible with copper parts. Due to the enthusiastic nature of the Threadrippers, the only water blocks I could find were copper so I couldn't use a heatsink, plus it's a bit small for my needs. On a positive note, the pump works perfectly and I ended up buying a second pump for my GPU circuit; I have a Thermaltake Tower 900 case. GOOD: - Reliable entry point for custom liquid cooling - I definitely recommend pairing it with the Thermaltake tube bender kit that comes with a tube cutter (I bought it and it worked fine) CONSIDERATIONS for those unfamiliar with liquid cooling, like me: - If you're just using the parts from this kit, use aluminum, which is good in itself. If you need to mix and match parts, please note that aluminum parts are not compatible with copper parts. Direct contact with one another or connection to a coolant circuit will lead to bimetallic/galvanic corrosion which will corrode the hole in the aluminum parts!
