They do their job wonderfully!
We cleaned the pillowcases first before putting the pillows on, although they didn't smell; We just like to clean everything before we use or wear them because of the chemicals. Washed very well. Both my husband and I slept very well with the new covers and the kids had no complaints about their new pillowcases either. So you could say that they wash well and wash well and do their job of protecting our pillows. I would buy more if I needed them π
