Well made (for being the brass one), quality workmanship. It makes a lovely gift. I did not open it to see the chain, as it is a gift, but it appears okay. The pendant is well worth the money! The 'jewel' heart has a depth and brilliance that is astounding. The box it comes in is alright, nothing fancy but acceptable as a plain blue gift box, it is cardboard but is textured to almost feel like fine linen. It also has the words "Romantic love gift for every special moment" stamped on the lower lip of the box----which is weird because it is a gift for my niece---good thing she has a good sense of humor. Otherwise, yes, this is a most lovely pendant.
