Nothing unusual, normal product.

1) Five-star ratings here are written by people who are completely ignorant of cameras. Compared to the 5MP - 10MP cameras produced earlier (about 5 years ago), this camera is better only by the screen size. The quality of the photos is WORSE than in older models. Why so - is described in shortcomings.
2) This camera was purchased by a company. For my money, I simply would not buy such a "craft". It is immediately clear that 16MP on such a small matrix will be bad. Miracles don't happen.
3) Among compact cameras, it is quite possible to choose a normal modern camera according to the criteria: the smallest number of megapixels + a modern matrix + a fast lens.
For example Samsung WB2022

Pros

- adequate control of the modes (+ remembers the last selected mode, for example, a timer delay of 2 seconds, if you set it and next time go to this menu, then it will already be selected there) - long battery life - lens aperture f2.8 - decent, not going anywhere flash - optical image stabilization (without it, it would be a total misunderstanding along the way)

Cons

- a matrix of the old antediluvian type, a small diagonal of the matrix, and 16 MP on such a small diagonal is a perversion of common sense - working ISOs - 80 and 100, higher is simply unrealistic noise (and what else to expect from a matrix tortured by the manufacturer for the sake of those who buy mesh pixels and are firmly convinced that 16 MP is better than 10 MP, although in fact the opposite is true) - a small selection of final frame sizes: 2 MP, 8 MP, 16 MP (and where are 3 MP, 5 MP - which are still used by really understanding people) Has Canon reached the level of its customers? - Noise in photos even at lower ISO - Poor autofocus in macro mode - When shooting documents with flash, it turns out that the lens blocks part of the flash at such distances and "darkness" is obtained in the corner of the frame
