What a lovely afternoon it is! For my husband's birthday, I pre-ordered him a Samsung Galaxy S8. My hubby was impatient. The husband's elation at the phone's arrival was palpable. He was a fan of the whole package, including functionality, aesthetics, and functionality. A recent incident, though, saw the phone tumble to the floor from a pocket of a pair of shorts, shattering the screen in the process. The servicing company informed us that the cost to replace the vehicle due to mechanical damage is $18,000. You can get a new phone with this amount of money. Can't 55,000 dollars buy a phone that's a little more robust? In the original ads, it did say that the glass was extremely durable. If we threw the phone down hard or if it fell from a tremendous height, it wouldn't matter. Then $18,000 dropped out of his shorts pocket and onto the floor:( It's embarrassing all around. What's worse is that Samsung is well aware of the issue; their "Buy a Galaxy S8 smartphone/S8+ from July 12 to July 31, 2022 and get a screen replacement voucher as our gift to you" campaign is not random.
