Review on πŸ’‘ Bathroom Dimmable LED Vanity Light by JandCase by William Chavez

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Very bright, excellent color rendering

I thought I would replace incandescent bulbs with 60w but it turned out we had a mix of 40w and 60w so there was a difference. pretty frightening. (Bathroom fixtures were rated for 60 watt light bulbs, but lately we could only get 40 watt light bulbs.) In a bathroom, 6 40 watt light bulbs generated 450 lux on the countertop directly below. With 6 of these 9.5 W bulbs, the readings rose to 1280 lux (!). It's 184% brighter at less than 1/4 power. In another bathroom, the light started with 2 x 60 watts and 4 x 40 watts. I measured on the wall opposite the light fixture, about 5 feet away, which placed the sensor in front of the lights rather than under them. Before with 280W total output incandescent lamps: 255 lux After that with LEDs with 57W total output: 780 lux, more than 200% more. .As mentioned in the title, the color rendering is really good and we can see subtle differences in the tones of things like socks without having to wait for daylight. The only downside I've seen is a slight lag at startup; long enough for you to double-check that you pressed the correct switch before they light up. I have other LED lights that start up faster, but these aren't slow enough to flag. My clumsy measurements put the latency at 0.4 to 0.5 seconds, which may worry some.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Doubtful
