Warning: I often wear combs to hold my hair back. I have thick hair but it's also quite thin and straight which makes it quite slippery. The tooth design of these combs just didn't suit my hair; they don't offer the endurance I'm used to. For the record, I wear them to keep my hair in check (to keep my teeth from rolling left and right). My hair is also tangled in jewelry. If you're not looking for those combs to hold your hair but are just looking for something to add flair to your hair (with downward-pointing teeth) then they're perfect. I'm sure they can work better for different hair types too; However, if you are a fine-haired lady, you should look elsewhere.
