Review on White Sage California Cluster Incense by Joseph Montes

Revainrating 5 out of 5

BIG! Smell == 5/5, Quantity per Price == 5/5, Packaging and Appearance == 5/5

Smell: First of all, the smell (most important to me) is amazing. I could smell it through the Revain box. Nice. I snapped a photo for you all and left a few to burn. This is the same Sagey as Sage for Alpinia. Quality: almost all branches (see photo). Very little "shake", dust or anything else. So far NO STONES, twigs or other foreign objects except sage. perfectValue: Oh yeah! I have a 6 inch mixing stick that weighs 2 ounces (see photo). I bought a pack of several to get a better price but I still paid a lot more for 1lb oz or 16 oz of this equal if not better sage product. Say, you may not be so concerned about the price as you are about the preparation. Pay money for my oil change. probably a snap if the burning piece hits/damages something valuable). They could have compacted it for a smaller ship's box, but they didn't. Very good presentation. Lots of large cut branches which is great if you want to "roll" your own incense sticks, could probably make some 8 inch sticks/sticks, some smaller. anything). Seriously, if you're looking to get dabs as a result of this purchase, it's probably going to be some time before you get what you could buy for a little more money. but if you put your heart/creativity/soul/love in it and dateline. Forward. or let the kids do it. or it can be a labor of love. maybe add some nutmeg or something because you're special in that regard. I burn sage in a Bakoor burner (bought here for less than $20) and it feels so nicer that I can burn just a pinch (still lots of flavor in a pinch). The smoke detector is tested. Then wait for it to burn through without taking your eyes off it. Or stuck in the sand. Tip: If you're using a burner, I recommend covering the burner (I use foil to cover, but leave a tiny hole) so it burns completely to ash. Otherwise, you will have to stir constantly, otherwise you will end up with charred branches. That said, I may have preferred the "shakes" over whole branches (see photo, but VERY LITTLE "shakes" or dust in the pocket. NO STICKS, STONES, etc.). a little. I hope this review is helpful. I recommend this in place of ANY sage I've ever bought/burned and I picked it fresh in SO CAL. If this company makes the swabs/sticks you want, I would buy them. If I need blending sticks I would switch to these now rather than the very respectable and long lasting Govinda brand resins/herbs that I use on a daily basis. Btw, maybe a bit of this spices up this filling for the holidays!

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • boring packaging
