Little distraction. Lightweight and easy to pack/set up.
My use of this was a bit unconventional. I draped it with fabric to use as a projection screen for a theatrical performance. At full width (12 feet), the crossbar had enough deflection that it was difficult to hang the fabric straight; it will fold on the sides. The sag in the center was about 2cm. If you're draping something more solid like background paper or a stiffer material, you'll be fine.
