Perfection is impossible; Be satisfied close enough

Make it 3.5 - 4 stars but satisfied with the end result. The Supershieldz screen protector for my phone worked great, but putting the screen on a much larger iPad Air is a whole different game! Even after thoroughly cleaning the screen, dust particles continued to fly onto it before I fully peeled off the protective film. They create small bubbles that you cannot smooth out. I had to peel off the protective film a bit to clean the screen. At one point I did it over and over again - finally realizing the dust got on the protective film itself! I had to throw that. Another problem I had was that before I started I didn't realize that the tread had two DIFFERENT ends. One has a large round buttonhole at the base of the iPad Air. At the other end of the protective film is a small slot for the camera lens. The first time I installed the colander, I turned it upside down and had to start over! But the main problem is that it's almost impossible to start at the top of the short edge of the iPad screen and align it all the way to the end. (Because of this, I'm wondering if it might make sense to put the long edge first.) You'll save time and hassle if you start by attaching the end of the screen with a tiny hole for the lens, because it's A LOT is more difficult to align when you start with a large round. In the end, my screen came on with no visible bubbles, but it was a bit crooked. The whole operation took almost an hour! I also fell on the edge of my credit card trying to smooth out the bubbles - luckily it wasn't a tape edge, so watch out for that issue as well. Okay, now that it's on, it's doing a damn good job of protecting my screen! Everything still works great. You can't even see that an edge of the screen protector sticks out a bit - it's hidden under the fancy new case I got for the device.
