I have an old amp, stereo, CD, AM/ FM stereo configured with this old technology which means it is still operational. and go. Our last TV had RCA audio jacks so I made an RCA to RCA cable. Fast forward to the present - we just got a new modern Smart TV. no cinch means nothing! HOORAY! Since our house is connected to stereo speakers everywhere, including outside on the patio, I really needed a way to work with that. Going through my connections, it turned out that the RCA to analogue optics converter was the ticket - got it, plugged it in, added the optical cable from the TV to this converter and the RCA cable from the stereo to the Converter added and success was immediate! It has a much better sound than our last set and also doesn't have the time lag like our last RCA RCA set. This means that not only can we stream material from the outside, but we can also use our stereo speakers to listen while we watch the show. Great little product that did the job!
